CHENNAI: The Usability Professionals' Association is organising `World Usability Day' on November 3, at Anna University.

The association, a body formed by professionals all over the globe is headquartered in the United States of America. The aim of the association is to promote the manufacture of user-friendly products. Any product or service, they say, is targeted at the customer and therefore, should be user-friendly.

"Any product should be tested with the customer, at each level. This will help rectify problems then and there," says Rajesh Anandakrishnan, member, Usability Professionals' Association. He said that any product or service has also to be designed keeping the disabled in mind.

The association has, so far, received publicity through blogs, e-mails and newsletters sent online, he said.

Top IT companies, educational institutions and NGOs will participate in the `World Usability Day' celebration. Entry is free for all. For further details, contact Rajesh Anandakrishnan at 98840- 69320.
